God loves you
Not the cleaned-up version of you. You, right now. He made you, He knows you, and He wants you close.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Something is in the way
We've all gone our own way and done things that hurt God, other people and ourselves. The Bible calls that sin, and it separates us from Him. No amount of trying harder can fix it.
...for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23 - 3
Jesus made a way
God didn't wait for us to fix ourselves. Jesus died on the cross to take the penalty for our sin, and three days later He rose again. Because He lives, the way back to God is wide open.
But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8 - 4
Say yes to Him
You can't earn it. You can only receive it. Turn to Jesus, trust what He did for you and invite Him to lead your life. That's it. It's a relationship, not a set of rules.
...that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Pray this with me
Jesus, I need You. I've gone my own way, and I'm sorry. Thank You for loving me anyway, for dying on the cross for my sin and for rising again. I believe You are who You say You are.
Today I turn to You. Forgive me, make me new and lead my life from here. I want to know You and follow You. Thank You that I am Yours. In Jesus' name, amen.
