Beacon is a Mac app that reads through your church's footage and photos, describes every file with on-device AI, and makes the whole library searchable in plain English. Type "baptism in the lake" or "pastor laughing" and the clip comes up.
It sorts clips into categories like Worship, Sermon and Baptism, transcribes every video so you can search for words that were spoken, finds visually similar shots, and watches your folders so new footage is indexed on its own.
Everything runs on your Mac: no internet, no accounts, no subscriptions, no API keys.
Needs an Apple silicon Mac (M1 or newer) on macOS 12 or later, 8 GB of RAM (16 GB recommended) and about 10 GB of free space.
